You-Jin Chang is a Germany-based contemporary artist working in painting and drawing. Informed by a background in audio-visual media, she approaches form outside of time-based structures, shaped by the slowness and material resistance of painting.
Between observation and emotional response, You-Jin Chang is drawing on natural phenomena such as the sky as a shifting point of departure. Across media, the gaze remains open, attentive to perception, instability, and the transient nature of appearance.
